GUAMBASKETBALL.COM, together with St. John’s School, held its 3-on-3 HotShots Tourney round robin games on Monday at the Dale J. Jenkins Gymnasium.
“It was a gym filled with balls of energy throughout the day,” said event coordinator Elsa Ulloa. She added that having the Pilipinas Aguilas teams competing in the tourney heightened the awareness of its local teams to play harder during their games.
After completing 36 games, the Typhoons 16U, Knights 14U and Pilipinas Aguilas II 12U swept their respective divisions earning top seed heading into the playoffs.
“These games are good for the players to work on their skills in preparation for our league season back home,” said Pilipinas coach Homer Bautista.
Double elimination playoffs and championship games will be held at St. John’s School Gym on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. Monday’s round robin game results and playoff schedule are posted here.
