ACAS, a nonprofit educational and sports organization, is currently offering a double treat this summer with its full-day and half-day camp programs for youths.
One of the summer camp programs available is the ACAS Full Day Summer Camp located at Tamuning Recreational Park from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
This full day camp offers basketball, tennis, brainiac and computer sessions keeping young minds and bodies active. Cost is $175 per week per child that includes lunch, snacks and supplies. Children can be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m. and picked up by 5:30 p.m.
Another program is the ACAS Summer Break Youth Basketball Camp located at Tamuning Gym. ACAS is conducting its fourth year of youth basketball camps for athletes who want to learn, improve and have fun.
The camp includes fundamental training, team-building skills, and organized games. Camp dates are June 4 to July 29. The camp runs on a weekly basis and consists of two sessions. Session I is from 8 a.m. to noon for ages 6 to 10 and Session II is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for ages 11 to 14. Cost is $85 per week per child and includes purified water, fruits and equipment. Children are recommended to be dressed in a white T-shirt, dark gym shorts and rubber shoes.
