WITH the regular season in the IIAAG High School Boys’ Volleyball season wrapped up, teams are gearing up for some serious playoff action.
However, before postseason action begins, coaches got together last night to select some of the island's standout players. Leading the way in the all-island selection and garnering MVP honors were Okkodo High School's Maksever Kewpie and George Washington High School's Kevin Aguigui.
Joining Aguigui and Kewpie on the first-team selection were three more Geckos, another Bulldog, and a St. John's Knight.
Selected for the outside hitter positions were Okkodo's Aaron Blaz and GW's Lester Mariano.
Gecko senior Roy Ige was chosen at the setter position, while teammate Luis Mesngon was elected as the libero. Rounding out the first-team selection was St. John's Reed Meyer. Meyer was selected for the right-side position.
