WHILE most of the working community will have the day off on President’s Day later this month, avid bike riders and racers will be participating in yet another scheduled event. On Feb. 20, I Bike will be hosting its 5th Annual Community Bike Ride. The event is scheduled to take place in the beautiful village of Yigo.
The ride will start from Mark’s Hardware (formerly Ace Hardware) parking lot at 9 a.m. According to a press release, the ride will proceed south on Marine Drive and turn west to Mataguac Road, and back for a total of 7 miles.
Event coordinators are inviting all as there is no entrance or registration fee. All riders under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult rider, and helmets are recommended.
The riding event is slated to last anywhere from 40 to 60 minutes depending on the experience of the rider. For more information, call Tom Renfro at 637-0714 or Darryle Tagerty at 888-7672. I Bike Guam may also be found on Facebook.
