MOTORISTS on Route 4 near McDonald’s in Hagåtña will notice that paving is finished and roadway markings are being completed. Further south, work continues at the Ylig Bridge in Yoña. In this area, the speed limit is posted at 15 mph.
On Route 4 going from Pågo Bay to Route 17, work will start on Thursday, Sept. 13 to replace the existing pavement on the road. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the following 30 days or so, construction crews will be present and sporadic lane closures will occur. Traffic delays are expected.
Road work also continues on Route 17 in Talofofo, the Taleyfak Spanish Bridge in Agat, Route 7A in Hagåtña, and the Hagåtña Bridge.
Night work at the Hagåtña Bridge is ongoing from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. DPW advises motorists to take alternate routes during this time.
In Piti, from Sept. 14 to 20, there will be lane shifts at the intersection of Route 11 and Route 1. Navy telecommunication lines are being installed underground.
The intersection of Industrial Avenue and Route 11 will also be reduced to one-lane traffic.
Road work also continues near Adelup for asphalt replacement. Traffic will be restricted to one lane from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in this area.
