IRONWOOD Heights will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at 11 a.m. to celebrate its recently completed 60-unit addition.
The completion of Ironwood Heights Phase II consists of 24 two-bedroom and 36 three-bedroom units located on Ypao Road, Upper Tumon. The new units are in addition to Phase I which consists of 72 units that are already fully occupied.
According to an Ironwood press release, the two-bedroom units are townhouse-style buildings and located on the second and third floors with the addition of a rooftop terrace with views of Tumon Bay and Two Lovers Point.
The three-bedroom units are single-story apartments that feature spacious floor plans and large closets. The complex will include six ADA-accessible units.
Rent is expected to be $581 for two-bedroom units and $642 for three-bedroom units.
“By using the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program administered by Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority, Ironwood is able to offer rents significantly below market. Once people see it, they understand how different Ironwood communities are from anything else available on Guam,” stated Rick Inman, an Ironwood principal.
“We strive to build the best communities on the island and to provide the best value for the rent,” he added.
Ironwood Heights is Ironwood's newest affordable rental community that offers 132 apartment-style homes. Units are configured as three-level townhouses and come with a number of amenities including fire sprinklers, smoke alarms, porcelain tiling, central air-conditioning and more. Other communities include Ironwood Manor and Ironwood Estates located in Dededo.
