SEVERAL families affected by the heavy rains and flooding in the past few days are seeking help from the American Red Cross.
ARC Emergency Services Director Dave Peredo said at least 19 families were requesting assistance and two crews of volunteers including himself are going out on the field assessing the needs of the homes.
“There were some homes that were inundated. There were some instances where several inches of water entered their homes,” he said.
After the assessment is done at the homes, Peredo said they will determine what immediate need or assistance can be provided. This includes cleanup items or temporary shelter.
“Those needs vary among the families,” he said.
Anyone affected by the flood can call the American Red Cross Guam Chapter office at 472-6217/19.
