ALL travelers going to and from Naval Base are reminded that borrowed vehicles being driven onto the base must be cleared with the appropriate documents.
Travelers who have access to the base and are driving a borrowed, privately-owned vehicle must obtain a vehicle pass from the Visitor Control Center located outside of the base.
Documents required for a vehicle pass for a borrowed vehicle include a notarized statement from the owner, a lease agreement, or a power of attorney stating permission to use the vehicle. The document must also have the exact dates that permission has been given for the use of the vehicle, the car registration and insurance documents.
The Visitor Control Center is open Monday through Wednesday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
