THREE remaining suspects in a massive drug ring case are scheduled to appear for a status hearing in the District Court of Guam today.

Mateo B. Sardoma Jr., Rudy P.H. Sablan and Maria C. Edrosa are three of 10 individuals indicted in February on 26 counts of drug-related and firearms charges, including drug trafficking, possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine, and continuing criminal enterprise.

The seven others – Christopher A.D. Mesa, Walter Duenas, Sylvia Mashburn Duenas, Eduardo V. Lake, Anthony Aro Villanueva, Joseph N. Caballero, and Elizabeth F.L. Aguon – have entered guilty pleas.

According to Variety news files, the suspects were all allegedly part of a scheme to bring methamphetamine to Guam from the Philippines and California. This was used to trade for firearms, stolen items and cash. The indictment involves more than $200,000 in cash and over 300 grams of meth, all of which were distributed throughout Guam.

A jury trial is scheduled for Sardoma, Sablan and Edrosa on Oct. 2 before Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood.
