SOME eyebrows were raised at a campaign sign promoting Republican candidate Elmore “Moe” Cotton, which reads “Pick Moe Cotton.”
Some have interpreted the sign to be making a racist comment. Cotton, who says several people have actually liked the slogan, expressed surprise at the negative reactions to his sign.
“I expected some reaction, but I didn’t expect half a million Facebook hits,” he said.
“There was a Facebook comment that it was racist,” Cotton continued. “And it’s not. What’s racist about it?”

Go, Moe. I see nobody is commenting on the fact that racially-suggestive signs posted by other candidates are characterized by overt and subtle racial appeals -- Chamorro language and phrases, pictures of latte stones, listings of familial, clan and ancestral information, etc. This is something very much a factor when addressing legalities under the US Voting Rights Act. Maybe someone will take the time to mention this on that website with 400 thousand hits.
EXACTLY.
Don't we have other things to worry about?
More like, "Interesting play on words..."
But if this is 'news', then we're pretty sad to get hyped up over something like this.
" Mo' On Moe "

Coming from an island rife with racism, it's a joke!
The election slogan is actually a compliment about Eli Whitney and his cotton gin ( short for engine ). Moe should be held in high esteem for recognizing one of the industrial revolution's great pioneers.

Otherwise, it is just an abstraction.
