ENUMERATORS from the Department of Revenue and Taxation’s Real Property Tax Division will be conducting field validation on property improvements throughout the island.
The process is part of the department’s islandwide assessment as required by public law.
Property enumerators will be carrying official DRT credentials containing their photo, name and title on the front of their badges.
The department is asking for the public’s cooperation in providing access to the exterior of their property so data can be collected.
The employees may ring the doorbell or knock on the door to speak to a homeowner but will not enter the residence nor will they ask to enter.
Anyone who has doubt about the legitimacy of any person are warned not to open their door.
