A FORMER middle school basketball coach admitted to sexually molesting a young boy during a change of plea hearing yesterday in the Superior Court of Guam.
Christopher Luis Leon Guerrero, 30, pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct. According to the plea agreement, Leon Guerrero may face three to 15 years in prison for each count.
Leon Guerrero was accused of sexually molesting the boy from 2001 to 2004. The victim was only 7 years old when the alleged molestation began, and it wasn’t until January 2011 that the victim reported the abuse.
Leon Guerrero remains on pre-trial release until his sentencing set for Sept. 19.
