THE Guam Education Board is in the process of finalizing the contract of recently appointed Superintendent Jon Fernandez to meet the May 16 deadline. The contract negotiation process, according to Chairman Francis Santos, includes working out a relocation package for the new superintendent.
Documents obtained by the Variety indicated that the new superintendent is proposed to receive housing, automobile and working facilities/technology allowance on top of his annual salary of $125,000 per year.
According to the draft document, the superintendent shall be “provided with a housing allowance of $2,000 per month, working facilities and technology allowance of $300 per month, and automobile allowance of $650 per month.
On top of these allowances, the draft document allows the superintendent to reimburse “reasonable relocation expenses of moving household effects and vehicles from D.C. to Guam, as long as it does not exceed $15,000.”

We can't keep AC's working in the schools, the grass is rarely mowed, trash piles up outside, etc. There is no money for a figurehead.
You want the job, take it, but we're not making you rich in the process Mr.
