THE human remains found along the Ritidian cliffline area on April 19 have been identified as that of Ben Fieldhouse, who was reported missing in June 2010.
Fieldhouse was identified based on his dental and medical records. Investigators cited the cause of death as suicide and have closed the case.
Fieldhouse was working at the Port Authority of Guam as a Marine traffic controller.
Back in 2010, he reported to work on May 11 and signed for annual leave the next day.
According to Variety news files, his leave ended on June 18, but he never reported back to work. Efforts were then made by law enforcement authorities and Fieldhouse's friends and family members to find him.
