THE Northgate Mobil gas station was shut down temporarily just after lunch time following a report of a fuel leak.
According to Guam Fire Department spokesman Lt. Ed Artero, about 10 gallons of diesel fuel leaked at the gas station and GFD was called in as a precaution.
The incident was quickly brought under control and there were no reported injuries.
The Guam Environmental Protection Agency was also contacted and a private contractor was dispatched to the gas station to clean up the spill.
GEPA spokesperson Tammy Jo Anderson Taft said an assessment was conducted and the contractor would provide a complete report today.
