THOSE interested in volunteering their time and services to the A.B. Won Pat International Airport Civilian Volunteer Airport Police Reserve Program have until May 14 to submit an application.

According to the Guam International Airport Authority, the program was developed for civilian volunteers to augment manpower in the suppression of crime, preservation of law and order, and to assist in emergencies under the purview of the airport police.

Local residents interested in participating are encouraged to contact the GIAA Personnel Office as soon as possible, at 646-0300/02.

Applications and qualifications are available on the airport’s website at www.guamairport.com.

“GIAA has developed a program for civilian volunteers to augment manpower in the suppression of crime, preservation of law and order, and to assist in emergencies under the purview of the airport police,” a release from the airport stated.

Local residents willing to make their services available to the airport are being sought to participate in the program on an entirely voluntary basis, the airport stated.
