UNTALAN Middle School students were sent home early yesterday after an apparent break in a Tiyan water line.
According to Guam Waterworks Authority spokesperson Heidi Ballendorf, it is still unclear as to what caused the water outage.
“There is a 10-inch break and crews are assessing the problem and working to repair the leak,” she said. Water restoration was expected at around 10 p.m. last night.
Also affected were two government of Guam agencies – the Guam Police Department, and the Guam Environmental Protection Agency.
GPD officials said water was out yesterday morning but only for a short time and the outage did not hinder operations.
As for GEPA, spokesperson Tammy Jo Anderson Taft said they were still open for business.
