THE University of Guam’s Division of English and Applied Linguistics is proud to announce the unveiling of the 12th issue of its literary journal, “Storyboard,” tonight at Tu Re Café in East Hagåtña from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Storyboard 12 is comprised of a compelling collection of poetry, prose, graphic art, and photography by writers and artists from across the Pacific. This particular issue explores the theme “Crossings.”
“What’s incredible about Storyboard 12 is that it features not just local writers and artists, but also writers and artists from across Micronesia and the greater Oceania, and illustrates the many ways we are all connected,” stated Storyboard 12 Editor-in-Chief and UOG instructor Victoria-Lola Leon Guerrero. “It also features work from writers living in the diaspora, which I think is very appropriate considering the theme of ‘Crossings.’”
More than two dozen literary pieces are featured in Storyboard 12. Don’t miss the opportunity tonight to meet the writers and artists who will be present during the unveiling to read and display their work.
“The power of this issue’s theme is that it was open to many interpretations,” Leon Guerrero commented. “The writing and art it generated really highlights the many ways we all cross waters, borders, languages, cultures, beliefs, and so many other things on a daily basis.”
Copies of the current and past issues of “Storyboard” will be available for sale.
