THE Democratic Party of Guam is holding the first of two elections tomorrow to select delegates who will cast their support for President Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention in September.
During the election, there will be a vote for the selection of the party’s National Committee Man and Woman.
Tomorrow’s election is being held at the Inarajan Mayor’s Office in Malojloj to accommodate the Inarajan Fiesta.
The next election will occur on May 5 at all other precincts. Both elections are between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The delegate candidates for Obama are Therese Arriola, Pilar Lujan, Régine Biscoe Lee, Col. Joseph Mafnas, and Sarah Thomas Nededog.
National Committee Man candidate is Dr. David Shimizu and National Committee Woman candidate is Taling Taitano.
The Democratic National Convention will be held in Charlotte, N.C. from Sept. 3 to 7.
