Senators will be voting today on several bills that were discussed this week.
Also expected to be voted on by law makers are four resolutions and three appointments.
Among the measures senators will debate is Bill 443-31, which amends a recent law relative to the duties of mayors with respect to routed streets and roadways.
The current public law allows for mayors to block off streets for activities in their respective villages, such as processions and 5K events, on secondary roads and major roads such as Route 1. However, a letter from the Federal Highway Administration warned that the statute could jeopardize federal funding on roads earmarked for construction.
Another measure on the docket for voting is Bill 389-31, which would add a new chapter relative to mandatory drug testing for all prospective and current government of Guam employees.
Session reconvenes at 10 a.m. Live coverage can be viewed on MCV Channel 13 and GTA GudTV Channel 21.
