THE Micronesian Chefs’ Association, or MCA, is hosting its first ever “Maila’ Ta Fan Chesa” event at the Hyatt Regency Guam Grand Ballroom this evening from 6 to 10 p.m.
The event invites the public to “taste their way around the island” with delectable creations utilizing products from local produce sites in Yigo, Dededo, Barrigada, Agana Heights, Talofofo, and Inarajan.
Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased at Meskla Chamoru Fusion Bistro, Table 35, Proa, International Distributors Inc., the deli at the Hyatt Regency Guam, GHRA, and through all MCA Members. Tickets also will be sold at the door of the event.
According to the MCA press release, the event will feature 10 of Guam’s top chefs, collaborating to prepare an array of appetizers, desserts and beverages highlighting six locally grown produce items from the island’s richest farmlands.
The association hopes the event will draw attention to Guam’s amazing culinary talent as well as the island’s freshest ingredients grown right at home.
