A MAN with a violent past who is now facing multiple rape charges will go before Judge Alberto Lamorena on March 6.

Nicolas Fausto Camaddu, 51, appeared in court yesterday for a criminal trial setting.

Camaddu is accused of repeatedly raping his 11-year-old daughter after school officials at Talofofo Elementary School reported to police that one of its students was molested by her own father.

Camaddu was alleged to have been sexually abusing the victim since she was in kindergarten, both in the family home and in the family car.

In one of the accusations, Camaddu allegedly watched pornography in front of the victim and performed lewd sexual acts on her.

The victim’s two older half-sisters later disclosed to police that they had also been sexually abused by Camaddu.

According to Variety news files, Camaddu was arrested just last month for possession of methamphetamine. He was charged in 2009 for drug possession while on probation and also in 2001 for possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Camaddu was also previously convicted on rape charges and served nearly 20 years in prison.
